I am looking for a few things here; one is ideas for Christian-themed games. In general our society seems to be lacking quality entertainment for our children. I have had a vision of a group of programmers that together would develop a series of open-source Christian games for kids. The other is people to work with me to create these games.

I have felt like this is something missing, In general commercial corporations do not seem to be interested in “Wholesome” entertainment. In my searches for Christian software I have not found too many things that seem interesting. The majority are electronic bibles, which are valuable tools, but they do not captivate.

Kids now more than ever are swept up in Video Games, on the PC or Consoles. I was shocked to see some of the titles Nintendo has allowed on its Game Cube system. Nintendo has traditionally been home of the safer games, usually geared toward younger children. Now it seems that they are not as interested in that as profit. Competition between console’s/companies has allowed more filth to infiltrate our homes.

There is a forum I created for thoughts and opinions on this, I would appreciate your feedback and any ideas you have for a game.

Ultimately I will work on these ideas myself If it comes down to it.. But I would like to have a team of people that can cooperate to create something great. I believe this could be a great outreach tool for children and teens. If we can create games that interest them, word of mouth will win out, and eventually there might be people who got interested in Christ because of our work.
